We had such a delightful time speaking yesterday with Yves Komaclo, Oikocredit International's Investments Manager for West Africa. Yves kindly agreed to be our featured guest in a special webinar hosted jointly by Oikocredit US and Oikocredit Canada, in partnership with Oikocredit International.
Oikocredit International provides support to the cocoa sector via farmer cooperatives, and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and microfinance institutions (MFIs), helping farmers maintain and improve production. Following an introduction by Oikocredit Canada Board Vice Chair Julie Scott, Oikocredit US CEO Matt Eldridge chatted with Yves to learn how Oikocredit is supporting farmers and communities in this region, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic. Yves then fielded various questions from our live audience, consisting of folks joining from the US, Canada, Germany, The Netherlands, Austria, France, Benin, Côte d'Ivoire and elsewhere around the world.
